Job Openings – Operations – Project Manager

Project Manager serve as the vital link between installation/service clientele and the Company to ensure that client expectations regarding quality and service are consistently met and exceeded for entire lifespan of projects, this includes but is not limited to installation, sales and estimating, project costing, billing, procurement and employee management.

**Only Candidates with Fire Alarm or Security Installation project management will be considered **

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned.

  • Working within designated deadlines and budget, manages jobs, personnel and supplies to maximize company financial health.
  • Coordinating various subcontractors to complete/integrate services such as fire, intrusion, cameras and card access projects based on installation schedules, material or technicians required at job site.
  • Communicate progress with Leadership team, operations manager, sales staff, technicians, and subcontractors.
  • Must attend project meetings, take accurate notes, and provide timely follow up information in a succinct manner.
  • Profit analysis, proper documentation, and the ability to help solve business problems is required through the completion of jobs.
  • Coordinate and track subcontractor work. Effectively and expeditiously process change orders.
  • Participate in property walk-through, noting needs and communicating relevant services and prices. Prepare estimates, proposals, and presentations.
  • Coordinate scheduling of materials and labor.
  • Comply with all company policies/procedures and safety requirements.
  • Foster strong relationships with new and existing clients, responding to client concerns timely.
  • Serve as the customer liaison and advocate between managers and field team members.
  • Present a professional attitude and appearance at all times.

EDUCATION and/or WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience is required as a Project Manager in the fire and/or security industry.
  • NICET Level II or more in Fire Alarms is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to read architectural drawings and layout products based on the design;
  • Ability to manage installation/integration team to meet or exceed company production rates;
  • Ability to manage invoicing operations and proficiency with Fire/Life Safety operations paperwork;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate company resources;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Fire Alarm, Suppression, and Security installation project experience preferred;
  • Must possess valid IL Driver’s License and be insurable by company insurance carriers.

Physical Requirements:

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties require maintaining physical condition necessary for walking, standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time; may be required to operate assigned vehicle; may be required to push, pull, bend, lift light to moderate objects (40 lbs.), carry, reach, and stoop; finger dexterity is essential.

Pay: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour
