Class D Extinguishers
Class D fire extinguishers are used for Class D fires only. Class D fires are those involving combustible metals such as magnesium, potassium, titanium, and zirconium. Specially designed for use with these unique fires, Class D extinguishers allow the operator to remain at a safe distance while providing accurate application of the agent on the fire.
Class D Fire Extinguishers are mainly used in the following situations:
- aircraft industry
- auto body shops
- factories that work with metals
- other metal fire hazards
